Come June, and it’s gonna be a gala time for all the football lovers. FIFA World Cup 2010 is all set to begin from 11th June 2010 in South Africa. 32 nations would take part in the premier international football tournament which would continue for a month till 11th July 2010. However, just a day before the actual tournament kicks off, there will be a glittery night full of superstars. It would be the opening ceremony of 2010 World Cup at Orlando Stadium in Johannesburg. The FIFA World Cup Kick-off Celebration Concert would start at 8PM local time. The gala event would would feature big names like Black Eyed Peas, Alicia Keys, Shakira, Amadou & Mariam, Angelique Kidjo, BLK JKS, John Legend, Juanes, Parlotones, Tinariwen, Vieux Farka Touré and Vusi Mahlasela. The opening ceremony is to be produced by Control Room in collaboration with Vevo which would provide exclusive streaming service available to all in the website www.worldcup.vevo.com. Vevo is the leading portal for streaming music and has a joint collaboration with Google majors record. Interestingly, Vevo’s website will be the only place on the internet where the international music concert will be available for live streaming. 2010 FIFA World Cup will be the 19th FIFA World Cup. It is the first time that the tournament would be hosted by South Africa which outbid Morocco and Egypt in an all-African bidding process.
