The 2010 remake of the late King of Pop Michael Jackson,Lionel Richie&Quincy Jones''WE ARE THE WORLD' video premiere global simulcast Feb.13,2010 with over 75 artists participating in the new song, and a number of star musicians 25 yrs ago as part of the supergroup “USA for Africa”. An impressive assembly incl. Bruce Springsteen, Stevie Wonder and the late King of Pop, Michael Jackson. The new WATW25H2910 video is making its rounds as fans check out online, youtube, in an effort to raise relief funds for Haiti. The remake assembled by Quincy Jones and Lionel Richie as they brought together a legion of musical talents; features the likes of Wyclef Jean, Miley Cyrus, Lil’ Wayne,P!nk, Lady Gaga and Justin Bieber. Also, singing the part of her late brother, Janet Jackson makes an appearance on the track.Jamie Foxx introduces the remake with a brief background on how both the original song and new track were made. Re Haiti relief efforts, Foxx asks viewers to reach deep into their hearts and give whatever they may have big or small. The song opens with young singing sensation Justin Bieber singing as well as Jennifer Hudson and Nicole Scherzinger. Janet Jackson,Tony Bennet, Mary J Blige, and Barbara Streisand are shown doing their parts with some surprise appearances from the late King of Pop. In this new version in the video there’s quite a collection of We are the World 25 artists appearing in the video. Lil’ Wayne pops up for his half rapped-half autotune singing line. You’ll also see Akon,T-Pain American Idol’s Randy Jackson, Miley Cyrus,actor Jeff Daniels and Wyclef Jean doing his part. Rap stars LL Cool J, Busta Rhymes, Snoop Dogg and will.i.am also have a rap breakdown in the song. Making a surprise appearance and rap towards the end is Kanye West.
