NPR Host Farai Chideya welcomed two BlogTalkRadio hosts, Kevin Ross of The Kevin Ross Show and Valencia Roner of Content Black Woman to talk about BlogTalkRadio and their shows.
Kevin discussed how he got into BlogTalkRadio and the community he's built. He says African Americans are saying "...I don't need to wait for a Rush Limbaugh or a Bill O'Reilly...I can have my own interaction and spin it my way...We are now creating a community of folks...doing their own shows or they themselves just want to be able to have a different perspective other than what they're seeing in traditional radio."
Valencia gave founder Alan Levy a nod and talked about the control BlogTalkRadio gives hosts and listeners over terrestrial radio. She said, "BlogTalkRadio allows for other perspectives and people have more control to what they listen to and to really weigh in a have a voice in the broader discussion as it relates to the issues that concern us as Americans overall."
