BlogTalkRadio Special to Take America’s Post-Election Pulse

‘Exit Poll ’08 with Ross & McLaughlin’ Is Maiden Outing for Blog Talker Champs

NEW YORK, Nov. 3, 2008 – BlogTalkRadio hosts Kevin Ross and David McLaughlin, winners of FOX News Radio’s “Battle of the Blog Talkers” for the right and left, respectively, will host a marathon post-Election Day special that aims to take America’s pulse on the “change” issue.

Kicking off at 6 p.m. and running live until 12 a.m. ET on Wednesday, Nov. 5, “Exit Poll ’08 with Ross & McLaughlin” will give hundreds of voters the opportunity to weigh in on whether the president-elect can lead our nation out of the quagmire of financial-market implosion, rising unemployment, escalating street crime, prohibitively expensive health care, still-unapprehended terrorist leaders, a protracted Iraqi War and other blights the Bush administration failed to tame.

Pundits from both sides of the political spectrum will also be featured on the six-hour program, including Farai Chideya, host of National Public Radio’s “News & Notes,” Val Zavala, anchor of PBS Los Angeles affiliate KCET-TV’s “Life & Times Tonight,” Lee Bailey, publisher of the Electronic Urban Report, Rev. Leonard Jackson, special advisor to L.A. Mayor Antonio Villaraigosa, Julie Vanderpost, chairperson for California Republican Women for McCain, Wendy Davis, national field & training director for 21st Century Democrats, Tim Shiflett, co-host of BlogTalkRadio’s The Kudzu Vine,” and Martha Mitchell Zoller, host of “The Martha Zoller Show” on WDUN-AM in Gainesville, Ga.

Also joining Ross and McLaughlin as guests will be fellow BlogTalkRadio hosts Chad Everson and Andrea Shea King.

Listeners can call into the show at (646)200-0227, and join other listeners in the chat room, throughout the entire show.

“Having proven themselves as insightful, opinionated and adept at unraveling the spin that bombarded our nation from both political parties for months on end, Kevin and David are now poised to get an excellent read on where our nation goes from here,” said Philip Recchia, BlogTalkRadio’s director of programming. “And with its unparalleled distribution and interactivity, BlogTalkRadio can offer voters a louder, stronger voice in letting our new commander in chief know what they expect come Inauguration Day.”

Last month, Ross, an African-American Republican from Los Angeles, and McLaughlin, a white Democrat from outside Atlanta, beat our six other BlogTalkRadio political hosts in “Battle of the Blog Talkers,” a weeklong tournament to determine the best BlogTalkRadio talkers from each side of the political spectrum.
