This was a discussion between Sam Coffman and Joshua Hamlin. Joshua is a primitive skills instructor in the Missouri area who spent more than a year living without any tools beyond a knife and a few other very basic implements. Joshua recounts his story to Sam and talks about the food that he was able to procure. This is an interesting podcast because it illustrates some of the misconceptions about surviving in a primitive environment. What food do you think would be most readily available in this environment? What types of resources would you need the most? What kinds of primitive skills would you spend most of your time doing? You may be surprised by some of the answers that present themselves in this discussion and the recounting of Joshua’s months on end spent completely alone in the wilderness.
