Discussion with Diane Markham, ACB/ALS Division F Director and host Carlos Lewis

Welcome to the Praisemasters Talk Radio show with host Carlos Lewis.
Carlos became a Toastmasters in 2008. He is a charter member of Praisemasters Club #1142290, where he has served as Treasurer, VP of Education and President. During 2013-2014, he served District ONE Toastmasters as an Area Governor. His term resulted in his area achieving the highest honor, President's Distinguished. Carlos has currently achieved the Toastmasters designations of Advanced Communicator Silver and Advanced Leader Silver. 

We have a great show lined up for you with special guest Diane Markham, ACB/ALS Division  F Director.  When she first joined, she was fearful of speaking in front of people. As she always says, “It’s one thing to talk to your friends, 1-on-1, but it’s something else when you stand in front of a lectern and people. With the passage of time, her confidence level has soared and she feels better about speaking, and enjoys every minute of her Toastmasters journey. She has met some “cool” and supportive people along the way. She says Toastmasters is per passion. She also says she has found her purpose. Her goal is to share with people her experience and tell why Toastmasters means so much to her.

Diane has stepped out of her comfort zone and has taken on leadership roles. She feels it is her time to shine. She has been an Assistant Area Governor, Area Governor, and this past May 2015, she was elected Division Director. She is working hard to get her Distinguished Toastmasters designation by spring 2016.

She has always heard that if you don’t step out of your comfort zone, you’ll never know what else is out there for you. Diane is a member of several Toastmasters Clubs – Praisemasters, Deluxe, OMG Karaoke, and Inglewood Visionaries. Music: http://www.bensound.com
