Scott talks with 2 great guests tonight live. First, Patti Wood asks:  What do people think when they meet you? Why do you instantly like — or dislike — someone? Her new book is Snap, and Patti says says we are hardwired to size up one another, processing thousands of units of nonverbal data in the time it takes to snap one’s fingers. Premier body language expert Patti Wood here distills the science on how we form “snap” impressions into information we can use every day .

Then Karen Engelmann joins Scott to discuss her latest book, The Stockholm Octavo. The STOCKHOLM OCTAVO is the story of Emil Larsson, a self-satisfied bureaucrat and devoted card shark living in Sweden’s capitol city in 1791. Gaming house owner Mrs. Sofia Sparrow draws Emil into laying his OCTAVO, a form of fortunetelling with playing cards that reveals eight people surrounding a significant event in his life. Emil can influence the outcome of this event in his favor -IF he can find his eight in time.
