2012: Extinction or Utopia with J Allen Danelek he's Positively Incorrect!

Separating hype from truth, J. Allan Danelek scrutinizes the ancient Mayan calendar's end date of 2012 and takes a hard look at whether it spells the end of the world--or a new beginning. Danelek also delves into other doomsday beliefs past and present, from biblical end-times prophecies to biological warfare, and discusses the predictions of world-famous prophets such as Nostradamus and Edgar Cayce. A native Minnesotan who currently resides in Colorado, Jeff Allen Danelek has been working as a graphic artist and technical illustrator since leaving the Navy in 1984. While he has been writing as a hobby for fifteen years, it is only in the last few years that he began pursuing it as a full-time vocation. Besides writing, his hobbies include military history, religion and spirituality, numismatics (coin collecting), general science and things like Bigfoot and other mysterious beasties, Atlantis, UFO’s and anything that goes bump in the night. An avid reader and careful researcher, he enjoys presenting alternative theories on increasingly popular subjects dealing with the strange and inexplicable world around us. Is 2012 the end of the world as we know it? From 2012 to global warming to worldwide pandemics, doomsday scenarios play an increasingly large role in our lives. Do any of these apocalyptic scenarios pose a real, urgent risk? Why does our modern culture continue to embrace these bleak beliefs, and how are they affecting our world? His books include The Case for Ghosts, Atlantis: Lessons from a Prehistoric Civilization, and UFOs: The Great Debate. His latest book is 2012: Extinction or Utopia. Danelek is also a novelist and instructor at Colorado Free University.

Badass-Ben Thompson on Scott Cluthe's Positively Incorrect!

Scott chats with Ben Thompson, author of the correctly titled, Badass. A historical compilation of some of the roughest hombries to ever walk the earth. Ben, on the other hand, appears to be a post-college guy gone crazy on stories of the glories of long ago..if you can call ego maniacs who lead thousands of others to their deaths in the name of what ever they were prizing at the time as glorious. The badasses populating the pages of Badass are the most savagely awesome historical figures to ever strap on a pair of chain mail gauntlets and run screaming into battle. Author Ben Thompson—considered by many to be the Internet’s foremost expert on badassitude—has gathered together a rogues’ gallery of butt-stomping rogues, from Julius Caesar and Genghis Khan to Blackbeard, George S. Patton, and Bruce Lee. Their bone-breaking exploits are illustrated by top artist from the fields of gaming, comics, and cards—DC Comics illustrator Matt Haley and Thomas Denmark, illustrator for the collectible card game Magic: The Gathering. This is not your boring high school history—this is tough, manly, unrelentingly Badass! But, um, I am still wondering if maybe Ben could use a makeover?

Dr Carmen Harra's Eleven Eternal Principals on Scott Cluthe's Positively Incorrect!

Join former Sirius Satellite daily talk show host Scott Cluthe as he talks with and takes calls for Dr. Carmen Harra, Ph.D. Tonight we will also discuss Dr. Harra's latest book, The Eleven Eternal Princiapals. Even as a little girl growing up in Romania, Carmen knew she was different. After a near-death experience at age five, Dr. Harra was able to see things others couldn't. Everyone who has had a near-death experience describes the sensation of "going toward the light.” In this parallel world, extraordinary light energy surrounds you and you see an inexpressibly beautiful light. There is no negativity and no anger or sadness, only love. It is a perfect, glowing world, filled with dazzling insights and pure truth, the way our Creator meant it to be. She has never forgotten the lessons this experience taught her. This parallel world, which Carmen calls the Invisible World, is just as real as the physical world here on Earth.

    JOHN E. WELSHONS-One Soul,One Love,One Heart on Scott Cluthe's Positivlely Incorrect!

Scott spends an hour with John Welshons. JOHN E. WELSHONS, M.A. is the founder and president of Open Heart Seminars, an organization born in 1981 dedicated to enhancing spiritual education and awareness in our society. Since the early 1970's, John has spent much time working with such notable spiritual educators as Ram Dass, Stephen Levine, Pat Rodegast, Judith Stanton, Dale Borglum, and others setting up meaningful lectures, workshops and retreats, many of which have been focused on people who were terminally ill as well as those in grief. He says his life was "dramatically changed" by his first meeting with Dr. Elisabeth Kubler-Ross in 1976. Over the years, one of the main areas of investigation for John has been the grieving process. Through his workshops and one-on-one counseling, he has helped many people who are working with a terminal illness as well as the loved ones who are suffering about a death that has happened, or is imminent. He is a frequent lecturer to businesses, churches, hospitals, hospices, synagogues, colleges, and universities throughout the United States. He is the author of the new book, Awakening from Grief. An abridged version of one of his stories from the book is featured in A 6th Bowl of Chicken Soup for the Soul. He is also the co-author of Healing the Grief (...of the Loss of a Loved One)-- an audio tape about grief, loss, and healing-- developed in conjunction with his good friend, Mark Victor Hansen, the co-author of the phenomenally successful Chicken Soup for the Soul series of books. In addition, John's life experience includes a B.A. in Religious Studies from the University of South Florida, and an M.A. in History of Religions from Florida State University, where he taught courses that included "Death and Dying" and "Religion in America."
