So I'm not exactly flying, BUT I've used some flying principles to get me to Christmas. When the whole thought of decorating the house, doing cards, shopping and mailing presents was overwhelming, I was able to create a todo list of things to do in 15 minute segments. It's in "tasks" in outlook, so I can checke things off as they get done and then admire what I've done in a particular day/time period. Wrap a present to ship, get tree up in stand, put on lights (of course that took a couple of 15 minutes, as well as some Xmas music and a good glass of wine!), etc. But as of this a.m., all I have left is - to wrap presents to put under the tree tomorrow night - run down to Communique to find a small stocking stuffer type gift for a friend. All the other things I got done include: - All my cards are out - gifts are mailed (all in time for Xmas except 1 which is to someone who is away for Xmas) - tree is up and decorated - lights in windows (one of the first thigns I did) - wreath decorated and on front gate - garland up on fence (and now covered w/ snow :-( ) I went light on decorations for the rest of the house, but that's ok. I'll pack tonight, and do a little more (non-time-critical) laundry. I didn't get my dogs bathed... oh, well. I vaccuumed my bathroom rugs last night b/c it was bugging me. Did the kitchen and hall but left it at that (didn't feel the need to colntinue on and make it an hourlong chore). I still need to do so much in the house, but winter is here so I will hopefully make time after Xmas!!
