So here I am, looking at my schedule for the week and month of September, and it suddenly became clear to me that we revisit these zones over and over, so that if you don’t get a zone “perfect” (LOL) this time, it will be there in a few weeks when we come back to it. Not to procrastinate, but to help squelch those feelings of being overwhelmed by the enormity of trying to declutter and keep clean an entire house. When you break it into zones, and break the zones into tasks, and break those into 15 minutes, anything is possible, because I can do ANYTHING for 15 minutes.
This past weekend I starting hearing all those negative voices and stinkin’ thinkin’ as I tried to find something. I let it be my excuse for wasting a beautiful Saturday. I didn’t do anything in the house, but I felt so bad about that and myself that it wasn’t like I went and did something fun either. I napped and watched really bad movies on TV. Oh, woe is me! But I got up Sunday, and did some things
- went thru the underwear drawer
- brought up a couple of armloads of cardboard boxes from the basement that I know I’ll never need
- did a couple of loads of laundry
- ran dishwasher
- relaxed in the sun out on the deck and played w/ the dogs
- cleaned off the top of the refrigerator (hadn’t been done in YEARS)
- relaxed some more
- had someone come pick up my entertainment center that I no longer can use in my LR (new TV – yay!), and
- organized one dresser drawer.
