The men offered the boys candy and firecrackers as they joined them in the carriage - shortly after dropping the oldest (Walter) off in front of a store. Ep 227 - Atomic Blonde

    in Movies

Jim Wallace and Jon Cross discuss the latest action film/comic book movie Atomic Blonde starring Charlize Theron and James McAvoy.
Did they enjoy it? Did a modern movie finally live up to the hype? Or did Hollywood balls it all up again?
They also make up a new Mike Leigh film about avocadoes, Jim makes some weird jokes about waffles and a crazy cat lady interrupts the recording briefly.
    Enjoy!

Christian Singer/Author Nichole Noredeman on what it takes to Slow Down

    in Television

I sat down with Nichole after her recent appearance on Hallmark’s Home and Family to talk about the inspiration behind her new book. She says she wrote it for her son Charlie’s 5th grade graduation and was encouraged by her manager to record it. The response was overwhelming. It quickly went viral as parents all over the world connected with the message. Now she’s taken that message and fleshed it out into essays for her book. In the book she talks about how there’s no time machine, or button to push that would make time slow down so our kids will stay small. Instead we should take it upon ourselves to slow down and enjoy as much of the present with our kids as possible.

Actress/screenwriter SUSAN BATTEN & actress KASSIE DePAIVA stop by the Buzz!

    in Television

A soap sensation in the early 1990s with her starring role as Darlene 'Luna' Moody Holden on ABC's One Life to Live, the incredible SUSAN BATTEN left the suds grind far behind two decades ago in search of fulfilling other facets of her creative spirit.  Now a burgeoning mover-and-shaker behind the scenes, Batten's latest project --- a charming Lifetime film entitled Showing Roots, which takes a personal look at continuing racism in a small Louisiana town in the late 1970s --- has just arrived on DVD, and she is stopping by the Buzz with her former One Life co-star --- and fellow Roots co-producer --- KASSIE DePAIVA to discuss Showing's roots and to dish on their daytime television salad days.
