    in Pop Culture

Andrea Nelson, from the Clover Agency, joins Joe to discuss recent news events that you probably won't hear anywhere else. Tune in, you'll be surprised at some of the weird news stories and what passes for news nowadays!
Click here to chat with us during the LIVE show broadcast!
Have you had your healthy dose of reality lately? There are always at least two sides to every story. Have you ever wondered how someone, who saw the same thing you did, walked away telling a vastly different story? Which version was correct? Which one was the REAL story? Actually, both are! It’s just a matter of perspective. Joe takes the issues… especially the controversial issues (politics, prejudice, religion, illegal immigration)… and brings in people from different sides to share their viewpoint. This is definitely not a fluff piece. And while no one is attacked, the questions are hard-hitting. But the conversation is always respectful and you’re sure to learn something new, even if you don’t agree! If you’ve always wondered how the “other side” thinks and how they’ve arrived at their “stand”, then this is the show for you!
It’s not the right side, it’s not the wrong side, but the REAL side of the issues!

  • Lets Talk with Rachel & Bennet , Guest Michael Strider

    in Pop Culture

Huffington Post columnist Rachel Thompson and Critic/writer/columnist for Night Owl Magazine and Affaire De Couer Bennet Pomerantz discuss media topics with guests. Tonight's guest Photographer Michael Strider
Odds are, you’ve seen some of Michael Strider’s photos. Rather than channeling his passion for rock music into a guitar, Strider chose the camera, and for the past twenty years he has been shooting the most famous entertainers in the world such as KISS, Bruce Springsteen, Taylor Swift, The Eagles and Rihanna.  Michael has found a way to capture the lifeblood of a rock star in the climax of his/her performance.  Michael is also a photographer for the largest photo agency in the world, Getty Images. Today Michael is focusing his efforts into helping others.  He is creating a coffee table book called LifeAfter – Visions of Hope.  It is a book of celebrities that are advocates of suicide prevention.  100% of the profits are going to the National Suicide Prevention Lifeline.

  • An interview with "Daytime After Dark" host Carly Jean Brockl

    in Pop Culture

A lady known as Carly Jean Brockl has hosted the BlogTalkRadio show "Daytime After Dark" since September of 2009.  "Daytime After Dark" has attracted an impressive array of actors known for roles on daytime soap operas (Ryan Paevey, A Martinez, Brenda Epperson, Robert Newman, Jacklyn Zeman, etc.).  Carly is a big fan of the long-running daytime drama "General Hospital."  She discusses how "Daytime After Dark" came into being.  Host Alvin George (not his real name, by the way) discusses with Ms. Brockl his fascination with "Santa Barbara," a daytime soap that he admittedly has no recollection of watching during its original 1984-93 run on NBC.  Carly and Alvin also discuss primetime television programs past and present.  Does Carly have a favorite Asian movie?
