American Moderate Party - A political party for the majority

  • Archived Blog Post

    Date / Time:

    Introduction

As this is the first entry in what I hope to be many entries in this blog, I thought that perhaps a brief introduction would be in order. My early formative years were spent being raised as a Dixiecrat. That was a period when the Democratic Party truly stood for the ideals of the common man; the farmer, small business man, blue collar worker.

As I grew older I found that it wasn't that I was changing and maturing in my political viewpoint so much as the DP was moving away from the ideals and ideology that I embraced. This split continued and continues to grow. I languished for many years trying to stay with the DP as I clearly saw that it was moving in a direction I could not go.

Eventually, I was forced to give up and move over to the RP. Not truly embracing the full political leanings of that party but finding sufficient grounds to remain registered with the RP I struggle forward. I did during the Reagan years find some comfort although I did not all of this agenda but there was sufficient to provide comfort.

Then came the shift to the extreme end that we see today. I became more and more disillusioned by the entire two party system. However, when I looked there was no truly viable alternative that I could embrace.

Then I came across the American Moderate Party. A party that I believe, no not believe but absolutely know, can represent the vast majority of this country's citizens and return our country back to us.

As long as "we the people" allow our country to be dominated by the insane struggle between the elements on the political and ideological left and right to wage war over the control of the country we are in dire jeopardy. Without a stablizing third influence in government we will constantly swing from one extreme direction to the other. It will be as a ship in which periodically there is a mutiny and the ship is taken over by one faction of the crew or the other. When the mutiny occurs the direction of the ship is extremely altered making little, if any, forward progress to a greater destination.

It is with this knowledge that I have come to embrace and lift high the standard for a new and better political party--The American Moderate Party.
