She began exploring the depths of her pen by writing erotic short story (snippets) in 2004, only to put her pen down shortly after. In Aug 2008, after making a major life decision, she picked her pen up again and began to express herself through poetry. She joined “The Writer Network” social networking site for artists, where she began by pouring her heart out in her ink (as “My Truth is….). She began telling of her own personal struggles, while rediscovering “who” she was…discovering her Truth. Her soul-stirring pieces touched the minds and hearts of all those that read her work. A short time later, she was inspired by a few other artists that she read, and decided to take a stab at writing erotic poetry. This drew the attention of an even larger audience. Soon she was introduced to the Facebook Poetic Community and eventually Blog Talk Radio where she spit her first piece in Oct 2011. She captivated listeners with her seductively sensual tones and the smooth delivery of her continually evolving work. It’s been said that the combination of her voice and her work can make grown men cry…while having the ability to sooth a crying baby to sleep. Though many have labeled Raayn an erotic poetess, her pen spans far beyond eroticism. You will find that her work doused in pain, love, passion and all aspects of her life.
