O’Donnell is a board-certified pediatric dentist who has been involved in clinical practice and dental education for more than thirty-five years. Dr. O’Donnell is an Associate Clinical Professor at Tufts University School of Dental Medicine. Dr. O’Donnell has authored a number of scientific articles pertaining to pediatric dentistry and special needs patients. However, for the past several years, he has pursued his long-time interest in creative writing. Under the pen name of JP O’Donnell, he has written two mystery novels, Fatal Gamble and the sequel, Deadly Codes: A Gallagher Novel.
