Tonight your Host Pamela Marie Edmunds will interview her guest Laurie Adato of the Hakomi Institute.  They will be discussing an alternative form of healing called Hakomi.

More About laurie Adato;

Laurie Adato has been a director of the Hakomi Institute since 1999 and has served as Executive Director since 2006.

She is a graduate of Tufts University and originally trained in the Hakomi Method of Experiential Psychotherapy from 1982-1984, concurrently training with the Biokinesiology Institute. She integrated these into a private practice from 1984-1992, taught graduate level classes at Boulder College and trained students for the Biokinesiology Institute and Rocky Mountain Healing Art Institute from 1984-1993.

She co-founded the Boulder Center for Health and Awareness, a holistic health center and served as a director from 1985-1989. She turned her attention to gang prevention and intervention work in Denver in the mid-90’s and was active in this field until 2001.

Laurie returned to the Hakomi Institute in 1999 as part-time administrator, then moving into the Administrative Director and then Executive Director positions. She also has worked as a volunteer teaching assistant supervising students in Hakomi trainings for many years.
