If you would like to read poetry are call in hit us up! Here is some information on Ms Poetess. 4realpoetess was born Antoinette Denise Johnson and raised in Chicago, Illinois by two loving parents. She is the mother of two sons and grandmother of a boy and girl. Her love for writing began at eight years old,she would create plays, and act out the characters herself. She's always had a passion for writing poetry and was inspired by the legendary Dr. Maya Angelou, Langston Hughes, and Nikki Giovanni. After her parents divorce in the seventies, she moved with her mother and sister to Northern California in 1979, attended Westmoor High School in Daly City, California and wrote poetry for the school newspaper. Unsure of exactly what it was that she wanted to do, she always knew it was creating things as an artist that made her happy. Whether it was making jewelry, writing poetry, or drawing portraits; the other interests would fade, but her love of poetry always returned. After many troubling years of domestic violence and alcohol abuse, Antoinette sought recovery, and began to rediscover her passion for poetry. She shared her poetry online, entering her first poetry contest in 2007 at Soul Asylum Poetry. She was awarded the Grand Prize, a publishing contract. "VICTIM! VICTORIOUS!" Quietstorm Spokenword WAS BORN, IN THE CITY OF WILMINGTON, NC ON FEB,3 1969. HE GREW UP IN A HOUSEHOLD WITH BOTH PARENTS AND A SISTER BY THE NAME OF KEISHA, I CALLED HER “SHORTCAKE”, SHE WAS MY BEST FRIEND. GOD SAW FIT TO TAKE HER HOME AT THE AGE OF 9. MY EARLY YEARS WERE A BIT AWKWARD, BUT, THAT ALL CHANGE ONE DAY WHILE LISTENING TO SOME GOSPEL LP’S THAT MY MOM OWNED. THE BEGINNING OF MY MUSICAL LOVE BEGAN AND THAT CHANGED MY LIFE. I STARTED PLAYING THE PIANO AT AGE 10, TAKING LESSONS FOR 8 YEARS. I SANG IN MY JUNIOR AND SENIOR HIGH SCHOOL CHOIRS,IT WAS DURING MY HIGH SCHOOL YEARS THAT I BEGAN TO WRITE. I CONTINUED TO WRITE UNTIL MY 11TH GRADE YEAR. I STOPPED AT THAT POINT BECAUSE, THIS WAS THE TIME THAT MY SISTER WENT ON TO BE WITH THE LORD AND I LOST MY DESIRE TO WRITE ABOUT ANYTHING. ODDLY ENOUGH, I KEPT PLAYING THE PIANO AND SINGING. JUST LIKE MOST IN THIS DAY & AGE, I’VE BEEN THROUGH MANY HIGHS AND LOWS, IT WAS WHEN I WAS AT ONE OF MY LOWEST PLACES, 8 YEARS AGO, I BEGAN TO WRITE AGAIN. I’VE BEEN WRITING SINCE THAT TIME. THE SPOKEN WORD THING JUST CAME ABOUT OVER THE PAST YEAR. I STARTED DOING WHAT I DO AS A FORM OF EXPRESSION AND THERAPY, I CONTINUE DOING WHAT I DO ,BECAUSE, I KNOW THAT I AM A MESSENGER. I ALSO SPEAK FOR THOSE THAT MAY NOT BE ABLE TO ARTICULATE THEMSELVES TO THE POINT OF GETTING PEOPLE TO REALLY UNDERSTAND OF HEAR THEM COMPLETELY I AM THE QUIETSTORM OF SPOKENWORD….I HAVE MUCH TO SAY TO THE WORLD. SO SIT BACK AND ENJOY AS QUIETSTORM BLESS YOU WITH SPOKENWORD.
