  Interview with Paul Polak - Founder of D-Rev - has helped 17 million out of Poverty!

  Lynne Hazelden interviews an AMAZING man... whilst a psychiatrist, entrepreneur and philanthropist, Dr. Paul Polak is the founder of International Development Enterprises (IDE), a nonprofit that is harnessing the power of the market to alleviate poverty. Through IDE, he has helped over 17 million impoverished farmers in developing countries to escape the cycle of subsistence poverty. IDE makes innovative, low-cost water resource technologies accessible to the world's poorest farmers, enabling them to access and control water, increase and diversify agricultural production, create new wealth, and improve their families' quality of life. What makes Paul's work unique is the market-based approach that he brings to poverty alleviation-an approach based on his belief that the rural poor are natural entrepreneurs who, if given the opportunity, will invest their own limited resources to ensure their families' security and well-being. Paul's achievements have been recognized with the Scientific American Top Fifty award for agriculture policy (2003), the Ernst and Young Entrepreneur of the Year award (2004), and the Tech Museum award for the design of IDE's low-cost drip irrigation system (2004). Paul and his work have been profiled in National Geographic, Harpers, Forbes, and Scientific American. He presents at leading universities, as well as academic and professional conferences such as the 2006 International Symposium on Groundwater Sustainability (ISGWAS), the Annual Meeting of the National Collegiate Innovators and Inventors Association (NCIIA), the 2006 Aspen Design Summit, and the 2007 Pop!Tech Conference. Paul is the author of "Out of Poverty: What Works When Traditional Approaches Fail."

  Join your Host Marcia Johnson with Author and Holistic Fitness Trainer as we discuss his book Reality Creation 101: Mastering Manifestation Through Awareness. We will speak about our own psychological and emotional well being. If we are simply trying to manifest something to feel better about ourselves, then it will be difficult to bring this non-physical thought form into our physical reality. The answer lies within our subconscious mind in an area known as the ‘unconscious’. Here is where all the blockages exist to our own well being. The unconscious mind is the seat of what Eckhart Tolle refers to as ‘the pain body’. In The Power of Now, he explains further how the pain body creates unconscious reactivity and feeds off of our emotional reaction to painful situations. The solution lies in the releasing our unconscious emotional wounds and limiting beliefs while harnessing The Law of Attraction to create what we want. When we clean out our unconscious, we clear all of the blockages to our own highest good. As we do this, we find it easier and easier to utilize the process of manifestation.

Additionally, two steel rods were surgically attached to Patrick's spine to correct scoliosis. Despite circumstances that seem overwhelming to you and me, Patrick has overcome these physical issues to excel as a musician and student. Patrick started playing the piano at the age of only nine months, and also plays the trumpet and sings. He even participates in the University of Louisville School of Music Marching and Pep Bands with help from his father (Patrick John Hughes), who tirelessly maneuvers his wheel chair through the formations with the other 220+ members of the Cardinal Marching Band. Patrick is usually a straight 'A' student, having received only 5 'B's' during his entire educational experience - up to and including his sophomore year of college. A virtuoso pianist, vocalist and trumpet player, Patrick has won or finished very high in numerous competitions, as well as winning awards acknowledging the circumstances he has overcome to achieve these heights. He has been featured on ESPN, ABC-TV, Oprah, CBS-TV, The Ellen Show, Extreme Make Over Home Edition, FOX-TV, CSTV, NBC-TV, Million Dollar Round Table, The Grand Ole Opry, People Magazine, Sports Illustrated, Star Magazine, and many, many others. His first book, I AM POTENTIAL, is published and available around the country/world. Patrick has made appearances from California to Chicago to New York and Miami and countless points in between, even performing in Canada, South America and Europe.
