Tonight- An entrapment defense was successfully argued in a case involving an undercover officer posing as a patient in order to gain access to the services of a Southfield, MI dispensary. House bills 4271 and 5104 head to the Senate after passing in the House by votes of 95-14 and 100-9 respectively. Also, this will be the last Planet Green Trees broadcast of the year and will resume Thursday Jan. 3rd, 2014.
Earl Carruthers, defendant in the infamous Court of Appeals decision which brought into question the protections for concentrates and edibles, will join us to discuss his other dispensary case, which was recently dismissed in circuit court.
Representative Mike Callton, Republican from Nashville, who introduced the Provisioning Center Act HB4271, and saw it through an overwhelming vote of support in House, will call in to discuss the process of working on the bill over the last year and what will happen from here.
We will also look back at the many significant events that have taken place in 2013 in a review throughout the show and encourage anyone with a significant event or occurrence affecting medical marijuana and marijuana reform in the last year, to call or write in and make sure it gets mentioned!
