The Birth of a World Unity Day!

On November 11, 2007, in an open letter to the world, Kevin Reid announced an initiative to have an internationally recognized “World Unity Day” established. He is in the process of forming a coalition of leaders representing all fields of human endeavor to address the U.N. in 2009, so that humanity can have a day, sponsored by the United Nations, to "celebrate the diversity of the human family." On July 22nd, 2008 Mayor Rob Adams of Sedona, Arizona was the first Mayor to sign a "World Unity Day" proclamation to proclaim November 11th "World Unity Day" in Sedona.
