She's also the  Founder and Director of S.W.V., Survivors with Voices Foundation and SWV Publishing,  where there mission is to help women embrace these seen and unseen scars, find a voice, and heal, with hopes of inspiring and motivating one another. Theynot only provide a platform for those abused to commune, they provide an outlet in which their voices may be heard; through written and spoken communication. There is a life after abuse. We may be used and abused, but never used up.

Alissa has stated, "I am a woman of many trials and tribulations; but with each hurdle I have come to know peace, understanding, and forgiveness. As a child I lived with the pain of abuse at the hands of someone my mother offered a place to live; in hopes of relieving some of the financial burden since her divorce. Unfortunately, this was the beginning of my nightmare".

Join us as Alissa shares her testimony of pain, forgiveness, healing, hope and faith and as she lifts her voice to shatter the silence of sexual abuse, may you fnd strength in her courage and rediscover your voice to stand.
