A Survivor's Story
On September 11, 2001, Michelle Cruz-Rosado was seated at her desk on the 95th floor of Tower II of the World Trade Center, when there was a crashing sound causing the windows in her office to shatter. The decisions she made in the moments following this event changed her life forever.
Michelle's heroic escape from the falling towers led to her powerful decision to walk away from an abusive relationship of 11 years, despite the fear and constant threats that she endured. Known by many as "The Woman of Empowerment", Michelle's extraordinary story has touched the hearts and souls of tens of thousands of people around the world. She continues to offer inspiration through her writing and professional speaking.
"The word 'empowerment' to me is the inner power and Light that is with us always and never diminishes. It is the core of our being as one and the power of the human spirit gives back to the world and in turn gives back to us." - Michelle Rosado
