Petty Nonsensical Things and Other Ramblings from the Land Of Sunshine and Palms  

    Ladies and gentlemen. Welcome to the official written Blog of Petty Nonsensical Things and Other Ramblings from the Land of Sunshine and Palms. I am your host, Jay Lucas. The podcast of PNT will be here shortly, but first I wanted to introduce myself and my co-host, Jeff and let you guys know a little bit about what this podcast is all about. So if you will, join me on a journey that begins here today and continues through what we hope will be one of your favorite podcasts to listen to and be a part of.

     First a bit about us. We are two guys living in florida. Jeff on the east coast, and I on the west (the better coast if you ask me). We are both married and not to each other.  We first started doing podcasts together a couple of years ago for an XBOX 360 NCAA Football League we were part of. I think we both enjoyed it and so here we are today. 

      When I look at the descriptions of alot of podcasts I see them all being based on a theme. A gimmick. Well, this one has one too. Florida. Most of what we're going to cover comes from Florida news. We will definitely have our own perspective on it and alot of times our listeners won't agree. That's fine. Call in and give us your point of view. We're not trying to be shocking here. No Howard Stern or Opie and Anthony, or Bubba the Love Sponge. Our goal is not to make our listeners think "Oh man, these guys march to the beat of a different drummer." I am a person who calls things like I see them. I don't like to abide by the political correctness of today's society, and to be honest. I think the P.C. crowd is well on it's way to destroying America. I thoroghly believe that those crying about how our rights are being taken away are the ones most responsible for it. But I'll get into that as our shows go on. We want our shows to be listened to by audiences of all age groups. So you won't hear profanity or general immorality from us. You will hear news, sports gaming news and really, just fun. We want the show to come off as two guys shooting the breeze and we want you guys to call in and contribute. It's not in our goal to fight with callers or judge anyone, though I'm sure disagreements will arise. We just want people to have something fun to get away to and maybe show a new perspective on the seemingly declining world in which we all live. Together.

     So give us a shot. We will be debuting our show in late June and looking forward to entertaining you for some time to come. And check back here frequently for more blog posts from Jeff and myself until we get this show on the road and even after.
