Hello Friends,
Do you know someone who exercises all the time, maybe for an hour or more and is still overweight or "jiggly"? Unfortunately we all know people like this. Why can't they lose weight? (listen to www.blogtalkradio/peterk to hear all about it)
3 reasons 1. They are overtraining 2. They are not doing any resistance training or 3. They are not eating right. It could be all 3 as well.
What to do? Try working out in short intense circuits of interv al training that incorporates cardio and resistance (resistance means using body weight, weights, or machines) By the way, forget machines and weights. You dont need them unless you are an athlete training for a specific sport or in rehab.
So incorporate cardio/resistance into your routine and you will cut down that hour workout to 20 minutes and get better results!
Don't believe it. My clients and I are living proof. Look below for an outline of the workout.
Circuit 1 ..:namespace prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:office" />
10 pull back squats (10 sec hold)
10 double arm rows in squat position (10 sec hold)
10 bicep curls in squat position (10 sec hold)
10 side lunges (10 sec hold)
10 pushups (10 sec hold)
Circuit 2
1 minute jump rope
1 minute kickboxing
Circuit 3
10 squat thrusts with pushups
10 double arm side rows
10 backward lunges
Circuit 4
10 fifty yard sprints
Light jog out, 60 percent sprint back
