Saturdays, Noon Eastern: "The Resilient Brain," host Kathy Kitts

Today's show focuses on the brain;s neurotransmitters and memory. How do messages get transmitted in the brain?  We'll learn about memory: what types there are, where they are stored and how they are formed.  I think this is an especially important show.  We delve into the details of memory formation, which is critical to people who want to learn better themselves, AND ESPECIALLY to teachers, parents, camp counselors, tutors, etc.  Even journalists, broadcast and otherwise, would be enhanced by learning these basic brain facts.  These people work with kids daily.  This info is critical to teaching more effectively, with joy and creativity.

To know that the thalamus is like the ultimate traffic cop, with an intersection of more than 100 roads (pathways) to re-direct, it is even more mind- bending our brains function well!

Our show today helps  you appreciate just how unbelievable your brain is.  Hope you tune in.
