Al's Bio in His Words:

Al Granger has been in printing & publications since 1969.  Al owns Tech Image, Inc. a graphics design & printing co established in 1991. He also has a subsidiary of Tech Image, Inc. called The Perfect Printer specialiing in high qual 4 color process printing. Al started his newspaper career in 1971 with Stromberg Publications in Ellicott City. 

Stromberg Publications then printed Balt area community newspapers, incl Towson Times, Dundalk Times, Catonsville Times& others. Stromberg published Howard County Times until purchased by Patuxent Pub. Al also worked for Sentential Newspaper, in G'bug, MD, & Carroll County Times in Westminster. Al had moved to Rockwell Int'l Graphic Sys. as a newspaper printing press installer by 1979. In 1981 the largest newspaper chain in US (Gannett Co) offered Al a challenging opportunuity. For 5 yrs it researched & developed the idea to introduce a daily full-color newspaper.Before that most newspapers ran b/w w/ maybe 1 color for an ad. The launch of USA Today made news. Forced all newspapers todo the same.. Al served on the Production Technical Committee at USA Today and helped establish some of the SOPs. For 10 yrs Al owned, published a monthly publication for motorcyclisst in the mid-Atlantic..

Active in the community of Oella, MD Al helps plant trees and plants often. Other projects include the cleanup of Coopers Run water way, taking hazardous household chem from community to the county collection facility. Al has also donated printing for several of the community charitable events.
