The Wild Pea.  Boy, that's an interesting image, isn't it?  The pea is a chick pea, the stuff that hummus is made of.  It's wild because there are no limits to what kinds of flavors they'll develop. Founder and owner Blake Wollman thought, "Why can't you make chocolate hummus?  Or Bloody Mary?  How about cotton candy…? Chocolate? Why not!

He owned The Desert Cafe in Mt. Washington in Baltimore, for over twelve years.  By the time he sold the restaurant in May of this year, he had been doing almost all of the cooking and all of the desserts.  He started The Blakery – and is that a clever name or what? – to promote his desserts.

His tenure with the restaurant got him interested in hummus, a staple of middle-eastern cuisine.  After trying hundreds of flavor combination, he's settled on eight that are always in the lineup, with others - like mojito and carrot cake - rotating in and out.

He's going to talk with us about how this all got started.  He's got excellent marketing skills and we'll talk a lot about that.  This show promises to be very valuable for all entrepreneurs who are looking to grown their business.
