When did poker become the international pastime? It seems like everybody's playing now, even people who never gambled before. This week's guest, Josh Silverstone, has capitalized on that to change the face of fundraising with his company, Aces Raise.
Casino night as fundraisers have always been popular. But with the rise in popularity that can only be described as phenomenal, poker-only nights are a natural subset of that.
Josh has been playing games his whole life. He was a chess champion all through elementary school. (That's gotta be tough, being a has-been at 11.) He got into poker in 2003, when the world at large did and saw the opportunities it presented.
Josh's background is in sales and sales management. He owned several companies before this one and he's got a proven track record of success.
Also on the show for the first ten minutes is Agnes Ikotun. This weekend is her Success Revolution Business Connect expo at Homewood Suites in Columbia, MD. It's going to be a great networking opportunity, and she's presenting some terrific speakers, too.
