9 am Wednesdays, "The Tufts Get Going," host Rosanna Tufts

"What the Frack?!" Fracking is a very controversial method of energy extraction. Join us as guest Lisa Bardack discusses what fracking is, and why its environmental toll may be worse than its benefits. Should the practice be banned? What can YOU do to stop it?

Lisa Bardack is a writer, an artist of sorts, an advocate and activist for the Earth, the children and the true possibility of a safe, promising future.  On her blog, Words for a Better World, she reflects on subjects like fracking, the tar sands and mountaintop removal, a.k.a. dirty energy, as well as other chemical contamination issues.

Prior to becoming a mom of a now 8-year-old daughter, Lisa worked for The Wilderness Society, with particular interest in their work in environmental ethics.  She also worked with the Center for Respect of Life and Environment, where she was the U.S. Coordinator for The Earth Charter, an international civil society document that defines the necessary principles for building a just, sustainable and peaceful global society.   She believes the power of the people can turn this world around for the better.  Change happens from the bottom up.
