My mom's colon twisted 3 weeks ago. They air evacuated her to Lubbock TX where they did emergency surgery. The doctor estimated that part of her colon had been dead for two days. They were able to take the dead part out wash her out flood her with antibiotics and placed her in ICU. Miraculously she came home on Thursday to Clovis, NM. She has been staying with me and my family DH, DS, DS, DD. Last Saturday she started getting what we thought was a cold. We went into the doctor and her blood pressure was 64 over 40!! They immediately called for an ambulance and she went to our hospital. There they found out she had pneumonia! This is not mom's first visit to the hospital. She is a brittle diabetic, recovering alcoholic, and she has problems with her kidneys and eyes. One eye she can no longer see out of any more. On Friday they let her out of the hospital.
