Erectile Dysfunction (ED) is defined as the inability to attain and/or maintain a penile erection sufficient for satisfactory sexual performance. ED can be common in men of all ages for various reasons. In my practice, I discuss erectile function with all of my male patients because I have found it to be fairly common to varying degrees in both men with pelvic pain and in men who have recently undergone a prostatectomy. This month's show will focus on psychotherapy treatment for ED after prostatectomy. I am very excited to have Shelley Imholte, LCSW, MSW, MEd, PhD Candidate, join us to discuss this topic. Shelley is Psychotherapist in Austin, TX that specializes in human sexuality and she has a lot of experience working with men who suffer from ED.
