.Welcome co Author of the brand new book -

"Healing Painful Sex" NANCY FISH. MSW,MPH

part 2 in our show set that began yesterday with Dr. Deborah Coady.

Nancy Fish is here to discuss in depth with our host Danielle Bevan Jones, the emotional side of painful sex.....

An area that is just as important as healing the physical side of these conditions.....

Bio:

Nancy Fish is a psychotherapist with an MSW and MPH from Columbia University and has a private practice in Bergen County, New Jersey.  She also graduated Barnard College in 1981.  She also works part time in Dr. Deborah Coady’s office.  Nancy has always specialized in chronic illness but became a patient of Dr. Coady’s in 2006.  Having similar professional styles and seeing a lack of good medical and psychological care for women with sexual pain, Nancy felt it was her mission to write this book.  A significant portion of Nancy’s clients are women suffering from sexual pain. Nancy uses an eclectic approach combining  family life cycle, psychodynamic, and cognitive-behavioral therapeutic interventions.  One of Nancy's most important goals with patients is to instill hope since so many of her clients are so debilitated and live in a state of hopelessness and fear.  Because Nancy is a pelvic pain patient as well as a trained psychotherapist, she has added credibility with her clients.
