Micheal Jackson's recent memorial service reminded me that many Christians hold to the belief that their loved ones go to heaven and wait for them to join them. But is that accurate? According to scripture -- Christian and otherwise -- do we have INDIVIDUAL judgment days or wait in an unknowable state for aggregate resurrection on a date and time wherein we are ALL judged in succession? Is it so unbearable to think of our loved ones as being merely dead and gone that we have to imagine them being in "a better place" -- whether they truly are or not? Today we will examine the question of exactly WHEN the "Afterlife" -- whether we call it Heaven, Paradise, Nirvana, Happy Hunting Ground, Transmigration, etc. -- truly begins. Listener call-in number is (646) 929-0061. Calls will be taken in the second half-hour.
