I am sick and tired of pompous, know it all, squeaky clean, hand holding, bible thumping, third world feeding, religious show-offs. It makes me want to throw up when I see them gag at gnats and swallow giant camels.
I personally know pastors that would not know the true God if they saw him standing in their front yard. They have lost the vision, the passion, and direction that led them to the pulpit in the first place. They have become religious puppets dangling at the end of someone's money string. They have made deals with the devil without even realizing it. They are lost souls on a slowly sinking ship. They have been divided by family, doctrine, boards of directors, advisors, wives, friends, and even their own self destructive behaviors that lurk inside all of us. For we are human. Flesh, blood, and bone.
God sees us all the same. He accepts us as we are because he brought us out of the dirt. He knows us before, now, and forever.
Why do some of you pretend to be so special and gifted? Why are some of you all puffed up on your holy hill? Come down from your perverted gospel perch and see the world for what it really is. Come down to the people where they really hurt. Your partners, your neighbors, and your co-workers. The bum on the street, your wife, relatives and all the rest of us who you choose to ignore when it doesn't fit into your schedule of things. Have you forgotten those who really need you? Have you lost sight of the real mission? Have you set yourself high on the hill where the ones who need you can't reach you?
The churches have become so divided. Congregations are being torn apart from the inside out. Mega-churches are out of touch with the main stream of society. It's a mad foolish race to be the biggest and the best. And for what I say. To make the leaders of these churches richer than they already are. God forbid. What a sham and a shame.
There are only two gospels that I believe we should live by and that is to 'love the Lord thy God with all thy heart' and 'love thy neighbour as thyself'. If we could all just accomplish that we might have a chance. In my opinion if you can't do one then you can't do the other. So that puts you in a very akward position.
Oh sure most of you pretend to love people. But do you, can you, and will you reach out to those in your midst and love them as God has loved you and forgiven you. Have you matured to that point in your walk with the Lord. Even if you do not believe in God you should still believe that we are our brother's keeper. We have a massive responsibility to learn to love one another. We are not animals and will not survive if we continue to hate each other. Family against family; friend against friend; church against church; husband against wife; business against business and on and on and on.
These issues are the ones that should be discussed in church. Our world is broken. Your world is broken. Most are hiding under a religious rock and they need to come out and work to solve these most important issues.
Organized religion is a waste of time, money, and manpower. It only serves to temporarily pacify people and fatten the leaders pockets. What a shame. We should and could do all of this individually and without walls of brick and stone.
Just go out there and love each other. Go out there and forgive each other. Go out there and help each other. Run the good race. Fight the good fight.
