Samuel H. Pillsbury is a professor of law and Interfaith Chaplain at Loyola Law School Los Angeles. He teaches criminal law and procedure, among other subjects. Prof. Pillsbury is a former federal prosecutor  and has written extensively on crimes of violence. He also works as a volunteer chaplain at the Twin Towers Correctional Facility in downtown Los Angeles and is an Episcopal deacon serving at St. Barnabas Episcopal Church in the Eagle Rock area of Los Angeles.

Professor Pillsbury's extensive  experience in the field of law and his spiritual commitment  have led him to adopt a refreshing way of blending the two, usually opposite, disciplines.    Prof. Pillsbury talks about  a new  justice model that  serves the letter of the law while honoring the rights of the shareholders; victims, offenders and the community.
