    But I am putting a little background about her here for you to read.

    A little testimony about myself (from Janine Mahalick):
     
    When I was eighteen years old, I was invited out to an Apostolic Church pastored by Brother Dowdy in Villa Park, Illinois.  I had been a Catholic all my life and I had the knowledge of the Lord Jesus in my "head", but I needed Him in my "heart"  I had never been in a service like that before, where people praised the Lord in an exhuberant way and gave anointed testimonies.  I had never heard a preacher teach the Word of God like that ever before either.  But, Praise the Lord Jesus Christ, I surrendered to Him and He so graciously saved my soul and changed my life completely!!!
     
    I had always loved music, but when I got saved, a whole new world of "Gospel" music surrounded me.  I would listen to those precious songs of encouragement "constantly" and that was one of the great sources of strength that God gave me to keep me close to Him.  I still lived at home and my family was not saved, so things would become very difficult for me...but through prayer, reading God's Word and listening to Gospel Music, I found what I needed to keep on keeping on.
     
    I always wanted to sing, but as a child, the girls whom were my friends all had soprano voices and I would be embarrassed to sing with them because I had a lower voice ( I was an alto and didn't know it!).  So I would keep all these wonderful desires of bursting out in a song bottled up in myself.
     
    When I got saved, I still had this great desire to sing, but kept it to myself pretty much.  When I married my husband, John and we had three children, he became pastor of the church that his dad had pastored since 1953.  One night my husband, John had a dream that he seen me and heard me singing a beautiful song.  So, I started singing solos in the church.  I was very timid at first, but with the Spirit of the Lord coming down and anointing the song, it made all the difference in the world!!!  I truly began to rely on the Lord to give me the ability to glorify Him in song and touch people's lives in the process.
     
    So, here I am on my journey and it grows sweeter each day.  I have now recorded my "sophmore" project entitled "The Journey".  These songs were hand picked by me and really say what is deep within my heart!
    This project just came out and I am getting some real positive feedback.....which encourages me so much!
