O Lord Hear My Cry

Psalms 18:6 (KJV)
⁶ In my distress I called upon the LORD, and cried unto my God: he heard my voice out of his temple, and my cry came before him, even into his ears.  

After expressing his devotion, David described his distress and pictured himself as a man who had been hemmed in on every side, caught in a trap, bound with cords, and thrown into the water to drown.
