I wanna speak with you on today about the word “forgiveness.”A lot of times we tend to get on our high horse of haughtiness and forget that we all have in some way over time done something to hurt or cause pain and sadness in the hearts, minds and spirits of others ( Romans 3:23 for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God)What I wanna know is, do you read the Holy Bible? And do you believe in and follow it’s word? If you said no to these questions, I will pray for you If you said yes, I want you to pay close attention to what is said next. If you are able to read and believe in the Bible then the following words or actions should fall limp at your feet: revenge, bitterness, hatred, spitefulness, blame, censure, vindictiveness, grudging and maliciousness. I could go on and on but I’m sure you get my point. Remember you said yes to the question on reading and believing in and following the word of the Bible. ( romans 12:19-20 beloved do not avenge yourselves, but rather give place to wrath; for it is written, “vengeance is mine, I will repay,” says the Lord. Therefore “ if your enemy is hungry feed him; if he is thirsty give him a drink; for in so doing you will heap coals of fire on his head.”Do not think by being mean, hurtful, spiteful or disgusted in another that you are in some way showing them up or validating a pointless feeling you have. Rev. Marshall once told me when I was a child that when anyone; mother, brother, wife, father, friend, family, co-workers etc., does or say something that is improper or sinful that I was to do and say as Jesus did in Luke 23:34 “father forgive them, for they know not what they do.” FORGIVENESS AS YOU ARE READING OR HEARING THIS MESSAGE I WANT YOU TO LOOK INSIDE YOUR HEART, MIND AND SPIRIT AND ASK “ HAVE I FORGIVEN?” AND “AM I FORGIVEN” MY FRIENDS IF YOU ARE HOLDING ON TO HARSH FEELINGS TOWARDS ANYONE THEN YOU ARE LOST BECAUSE IF YOU CAN’T DO AS THE WORD SAYS AND DOES THEN YOUR COMPLETE SELF( HEART, MIND AND SPIRIT) CAN NEVER RECEIVE GOD’S SALVATION ( MARK 11:25-26 “AND WHENEVER YOU STAND PRAYING, IF YOU HAVE ANYTHING AGAINST ANYONE, FORGIVE HIM, THAT YOUR FATHER IN HEAVEN MAY ALSO FORGIVE YOU YOUR TRESPASSES. BUT IF YOU DO NOT FORGIVE, NEITHER WILL YOUR FATHER IN HEAVEN FORGIVE YOUR TRESPASSES.”HOLDING ON TO THE SINFUL NATURE OF UNFORGIVENESS IS ANOTHER STEP TOWARDS SPIRITUAL DEATH AND TWO STEPS AWAY FROM REDEMPTION NOTICE NOT ONE STEP CLOSER TO GOD FOUR QUESTIONS: HAVE I FORGIVEN? , AM I FORGIVEN? , DO I READ MY BIBLE? AND DO I BELIEVE IN AND FOLLOW IT’S WORD?I CLOSE BY SAYING CALL, EMAIL, TEXT OR SEND A CARD TO THAT PERSON OR PERSONS TODAY AND GIVE FORGIVENESS AND LET GO OF YOUR SIN SO THAT YOU CAN BE FORGIVEN AND SAVED.AMENGOD BLESS WRITTEN BY PASTOR LAVAUGHN R.
