Hi! I'm Beverly Mahone inviting you to join me each Sunday evening on my program I call "Passions." This show will Educate, Entertain and Empower you with guests who are pursuing their new passions at midlife!
Date / Time: 1/25/2009 2:51 AM UTC
Being one of hundreds (perhaps thousands) of journalists assigned to cover the Presidential Inauguration of Barack Obama was quite a thrill for fellow radio host Stephanie Marion of Michigan, as well as myself. The people we met and stories we heard told us America was desperate for a change and they thought Mr. Obama was, by far, the better choice. It didn't matter that he was African-American. He had a message of hope---a message of change. On the next edition of Passions on BlogTalk Radio, Stephanie and I will share our eyewitness to history. One instance that stands out in my mind is a conversation I overhead while standing in a LONG LINE to get on the Metro (train) following the Inauguration of President Barack Obama. A man behind me said, “I can’t believe I drove all the way from Michigan to see the Inauguration on a TV screen.” He then smiled and added, “But it was worth every minute of it. I’m glad I was here!” President Obama has a huge task ahead of him. What can he accomplish? What are YOU willing to do to help? I invite you to call in and offer your thoughts on Sunday, January 26 from 7pm-8pm EST. The number os 347-324-3935 or you can listen right from your computer: http://www.blogtalkradio.com/passions. I'll see you on the radio!
