    Date / Time:

Win an autographed Copy of Book written by Baby Boomer Actress

Baby Boomer Actress Bern Nadette Stanis is best known for her role as "Thelma" on the TV sitcom Good Times.  She was a heart throb for many a young African-American male back in the 70s.  She was also an inspiration to many young women to let them know that they could achieve in spite of their situation.

We were so happy to have a show on TV that reflected people of color that we failed to see all of the flaws.  There were so many stereotypes that would make your head spin.  But the one thing I always appreciated about the show was the fact that it had a father present and accounted for in the home.  Yes, he was always struggling to take care of his family---but he was a strong father figure who wasn't running around chasing after other women or getting "drunk as a skunk" every chance he got.  He loved his woman and he pushed his children to succeed in school and in life.

In light of the fact that Bern Nadette, a baby boomer diva, is going to be a guest on my upcoming show, I'm giving you the opportunity to test your knowledge of the TV sitcom Good Times for your chance to win an autographed copy her book Situations 101.  One winner will be selected at random from all correct entries and announced during my show on BlogTalk Radio Monday at noon EST.  I'll actually be interviewing Bern Nadette at that time.   So c'mon and relive some of those Good Times:

    Temporary lay offs.

    Good Times.

    Easy credit rip offs.

    Good Times.

    Scratchin' and surviving.

    Good Times.

    Hangin in a chow line

    Good Times.

Ain't we lucky we got 'em

    Good Times.

Oh, did I tell you Bern Nadette is still as beautiful as she was back then?  You can see for yourself if you hang out with us at the First Annual Girlfriends Spring Break in Daytona Beach, FL the weekend of April 18-20:  Spring Break
