Join Andrea as she interviews Dr Peter Hanfileti. He is a board certified pediatrician, holistic physician, and the author of a new book for parents called "Energy Medicine Principles for Parents: A Pediatrician's Perspective on How Energy Medicine Can Help Your Child".

Dr Hanfileti graduated from the State University of New York at Buffalo in 1991 with an MD degree, he did his pediatric residency training at the University of Michigan, and then he practiced general pediatrics as a primary care doctor for kids from 1994 until 2000. For the past 10 years, Dr Hanfileti has been investigating and learning about the benefits of energy medicine and the alternative medicine approach. His holistic health clinic in Vancouver, Washington, called Points of Origin, is exclusively an alternative medicine style of practice, which means he does not give immunizations, do surgical procedures or admit children to the hospital anymore. Now his practice is completely in the realm of holistic or complementary modalities.

In addition to his pediatrics credentials, Dr Hanfileti is board certified in medical acupuncture and is a certified BodyTalk practitioner. His main areas of interest include exploring family dynamics, using Chinese medicine as a tool to interpret and treat pediatric issues, and emphasizing energy medicine principles as a framework to help parents gain a new perspective on their child and family. He joins us today to talk about educating parents about the energy medicine paradigm and why he thinks it is so useful for parents and their families.
