PIT CREW Conversation with Catherine Busch Johnston

    Today's Higlights:

The documentry is being created to inspire parents to help their students become life long learners. Helping a student discover  and explore  their interest and abilities is key to helping  the child develop ownership in their life long learning process.

    Quote for the day:
The task for the modern educator is not to cut down jungles, but to irrigate  deserts.
    --C. S. Lewis

Is there to much information to consume? For a parent, the information that is available to help you  raise your child can seem overwhelming at times. A jungle of confusion. and yet, if you are a parent who is struggling to help your child in any form, it may seem like you are in a desert, void of enough information and support to help you figure things out.
The Helpline hears from parent who feel like they are deserted by an education entity. Or, they feel isolated -- the only one with issues -- and no one to help with answers and solutions.

Do not give up!  Take heart.  You will find a way.
To inspire and encourage you, Parent Driven Schools is creating a documentary to share stories of ordinary parents like yourself doing extra ordinary things in helping their child become a successful life long learner.
What does a successful life long learner look  like? Do they get all A and B's?

A successful learner is a student of life.
They have acquired the ability and have nurtured the interest to keep on learning. They know that they may not get it 'right ' the first time -- but they know they will get it right. They know the process of discovering which is the right way for right now will help them know a little bit more about themselves so they will continue to be successful learners all life long.
