Listen to the Sat. Oct. 20, 2018 edition of the Pan-African Journal: Worldwide Radio Broadcast hosted by Abayomi Azikiwe, editor of the Pan-African News Wire. The program features our regular PANW report with dispatches on the recently-announced agreement in the Union of Comoros which will halt the violence that has wracked the country over the last week; one of South Africa's largest labor organizations the National Education and Health Allied Workers Union (NEHAWU) has settled their dispute with the SASSA and is focusing on other sectors; Zimbabwe is concentrating on efforts to halt the worsening economic situation inside the Southern African state; and the North African state of Egypt is looking back at the 45th anniversary of the Oct. 1973 war with Israel. In the second hour we continue our focus on the life, times and contributions of Cuban-Argentine revolutionary Ernesto Che Guevara. We will listen to a rare archived audio file of a meeting between Che and leftist journalists in the United States in Dec. 1964. Finally we focus on the history of the Black Panther Party through two speeches by Stokely Carmichael at UCLA in May 1967 and Eldridge Cleaver at SFSC in 1968.
