Listen to the Sun. Aug. 12, 2018 special edition of the Pan-African Journal: Worldwide Radio Broadcast hosted by Abayomi Azikiwe, editor of the Pan-African News Wire. The program features our regular PANW report with dispatches on the announcement by Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC) President Joseph Kabila that he will not seek another term in office; Ethiopia and Eritrea are seeking to build an oil pipeline from the port of Assab with the cooperation of the United Arab Emirates (UAE); Eritrea says it is siding with Saudi Arabia over a dispute with Canada; and the West African state of Mali has gone to the polls to select its leadership for the next four years. In the second hour we will continue our monthlong commemoration of Black August by broadcasting part two of a rare archival interview with resistance historian Herbert Aptheker. Also there is a rebroadcast of an interview with host Abayomi Azikiwe who discussed the recent property tax foreclosure settlement in Detroit over Leid Stories which aired initially on Mon. Aug. 6 on the Progressive Radio Network (PRN.FM).
