Host: Abayomi Azikiwe This program will report on the news, culture and history of people of African descent in North America and throughout the world. The broadcast will feature updates, interviews and archival material that provides insight into the current international situation and its specific impact on people inside communities of color.Abayomi Azikiwe is the Editor of the Pan-African News Wire and has been published in a host of periodicals and websites throughout the United States, Canada, Europe, Africa and Latin America. Azikiwe has also worked for the last 12 years as a broadcast journalist on five different radio stations in Detroit and Toronto. He is a co-host of "Fighting for Justice", sponsored by the Detroit Coalition Against Police Brutality and broadcast from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. on 1310 AM, WDTW, formerly the Detroit affiliate of Air America Radio. Azikiwe has traveled and lectured throughout the United States and Canada. He has also travelled in Europe and Africa conducting field research on political and economic developments. In addition, he serves as a contributing editor to Workers World newspaper based in New York. Azikiwe contributed to a recent book entitled "Haiti: A Slave Revolution" published by the International Action Center in New York.
