Neck Pain Natural Relief with Kathryn Merrow, The Pain Relief Coach

Pain in your neck, even nervy pain, is usually caused by your muscles.  Muscles move bones and can cause pressure on nerves in your neck.  Muscles also get trigger points which can cause neck pain.

You can relax the muscles that are tight with ice or heat.  The rule of thumb is:  Ice for nervy pain and heat for muscular pain.  If you use heat and feel slightly worse afterward, that means that heat is not the correct treatment.  Use ice instead.  You can find more information about using heat and ice at http://SimplePainRelief.com

Pain in your neck can be caused by poor posture with a "forward head," or by sleeping with too many pillows or not enough support for side-sleeping.  It can also be caused by a quick movement like a sneeze or accident.

Tiny movements are more beneficial to help relax tight muscles than large neck movements.

Our sponsor today is http://BackPainNaturalRelief.com  When muscles cause pain in your neck and back, you can often "treat" them yourself naturally.  You have a smart body that wants to be well and right now it just needs a little help from you to get rid of your neck pain.

Back Pain - Causes & Natural Cures for Back Pain with Kathryn Merrow, The Pain Relief Coach

Muscles are a primary cause of back pain.  And that's good news!  Why?  Because muscles can be "released" or treated and get back to their normal healthy state.

Here's more about muscles:  Muscles move bones.  Muscles get "trigger points."

Your muscles don't usually act all by themselves; they pull all the other parts of your body into the act.  Why?  Because all of your parts are attached.  That means ALL of your body should be assessed to figure out WHY you are having pain.  If you've had your back pain for more than just a couple of days, the CAUSE of your pain is most likely NOT where it hurts.  You have to get to the cause to get rid of the pain.

Sometimes back pain is caused by other issues, like gall bladders, but most often the cause is muscular.  Trigger points are crabby areas of muscle that "fire" into other parts of your body--they cause pain elsewhere.

If you lose the ability to control your bowels or bladder along with your back pain, get to the emergency room or your doctor right away.  Otherwise, you can look to your muscles as the cause of your pain.

Nerves can be pressed on (they hate being pressed on!) by bones OR by muscles.  Since muscles move bones, it's possible to get rid of your pain by treating the muscles.  If you release or relax the tight muscle, or the muscle that's in spasm (contraction) that allows pressure to be removed from the nerve.

I'd like to invite you to discover natural ways to get rid of your back pain by visiting our sponsor http://BackPainNaturalRelief.com

Headaches, Migraines & Jaw Pain - What Causes Your Head Pain?

Migraines, headaches and jaw pain can all cause lots of grief.  Migraines are the absolute worst of the bunch.  All of this head pain may share the same causes.

Today at CarpalTunnelRadio.com we talked about trigger points, the roles of muscles, and how diet can cause migraines.  We talked about the trigeminal nerve and leg length differences.

There is way too much information about head pain to cover in just 30 minutes but we explained what trigger points are and how the position you sleep in can also cause your head pain.

A very good source of trigger point information can be found at http://SimplePainRelief.com  Just scroll all the way down on the right hand side until you come to the blue trigger point self-help book.    You can also find more articles about trigger points at that same website.

Our sponsor today was http://MeditationSuccess.com  Learning techniques to relax your mind and muscles can help lessen your head pain so you may wish to learn more.
