Join RevKess and Kalisara as we talk about the Bad-Ass Faeries books and the Kickstarter campaign for the Best of Anthology with editor Danielle Ackley-McPhail.

"If you sort through the accounts of the fae most of them were not pleasant. Mischevious, Malicious, Warlike... those are the words used to describe fae creatures. The Bad-Ass Faeries series has been around for a decade now. The original anthologies were edited by Danielle Ackley-McPhail, L. Jagi Lamplighter, Lee C. Hillman, and Jeffrey Lyman, but with the completion of Bad-Ass Faeries: It's Elemental, the editorial team has taken a hiatus." The 10-year anniversary edition of Bad-Ass Faeries will be a Best of... anthology, containing 20 of the best of the Bad-Ass Faerie stories.

Author and editor Danielle Ackley-McPhail has worked both sides of the publishing industry for longer than she cares to admit. In 2014 she joined forces with husband Mike McPhail and friend Greg Schauer to form her own publishing house, eSpec Books. Her published works include six novels, including Yesterday's Dreams, Tomorrow's Memories, and Today’s Promise. She is also the author of solo collections, including A Legacy of Stars, Consigned to the Sea, Flash in the Can, and Transcendence, as well as The Literary Handyman. She is the senior editor of the Bad-Ass Faeries anthology series, Gaslight & Grimm, Dragon’s Lure, and In an Iron Cage. She is a member of Broad Universe, a writer’s organization focusing on promoting the works of women authors in the speculative genres.
