Outside The Walls  

What is wrong with the world that they do not want to receive God.  The word of God tell us that we worship the creature meaning mankind , rather than the creator.  What is wrong with this picture.  Have you ever questioned yourself as to the reason why people (overall in general), seem to be so very offended at the talk, mention or discussion of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. 

I always here this expression "church hurt", what is this thing called church hurt.  Jesus says the well do not need a physician.  This means that those who I come in contact with inside of the walls of the church may very well be sick.  Whether this refers to physically, emotionally, mentally or all of the items previously stated. 

Here's the question what has God done to you to make you want to leave him?  Think about it and don't give God a bad wrap, you know blaming him for things that have happened in your life or that you believed he should have kept you from.  Listen the word of God say's we reap what we sow even though it may be sin unto corruption.

The church is a body of baptized believers in Christ.  This is the formal defintion of a church, our definition of a church here at Pure Praises is YOU, you are the church truly for the word tells us that we should not destory the temple with the things of this world, ie smoking, drinking sex etc.  This can be anything you do habitually without boundaries

Church hurt, the only type of hurt that you feel comes from lack of understanding the word tells us if the people who are the called according to my name would humble themselves....., this scripture specifically tells us part of the problem as to why people really believe that we here in the church spend our time focused on hurting them down the line.   That problem is lack of humility because this attribute makes things not about you but about those whom God has called you to help. 

Hurt is hurt and it doesn't matter where it comes from, the church should not have to suffer the whole responsibility for one person's misplaced hurt.  Now believe me this is not to minimize the hurt you may have received from one of the "members" not treating you in a Christian attitude or behavior.  What is a Christian attitude?  Those that do what Jesus did and that is the part people fail to understand that all the people in church are just that, people who are striving for a better and different way of living from what they have previously known.  If there had been an instant change clause in Christianity then it probably would be a little more maketable than just the plain truth which is not what most people want they just think that's what they want.

Church hurt, I don't believe in it but I do believe that people get hurt.   I further believe that blaming the church for it is a shallow excuse for going to hell.  Again the word of God say's light has nothing in common with darkness and Jesus say's he is the light of the world so if you are not in Christ, well I think the scripture speaks for itself.
