With a looming deadline of a midnight government shut down both the Republicans and Democrats barely avoided it.  Tea Party Ultra Conservatives pushed for more cuts and Speaker Boehner going after Planned Parenthoodfunding.  The President and Senate Reid drawing a line in the sand on Planned Parenthood. In the eleventh hour a deal was struck.  Should we go to a 2 year budget?  Funding the budget is one of the main responsibilities of congress, should both party’s leadership be recalled in the future if the government shuts down?

“The Black Agenda,” hosted by Ed Shultz from the Ed Show comes on this Sunday at noon Eastern Time.  Our Own Voices Live covered this topic during Black History Month in our, “What Do Black People Wants,” series.   Union’s want honest wages, The LGBT community wants marriage rights, Jewish Americans want a safe, secure and free homeland in Israel. Hispanic and Latino’s want immigration reform.  Phi Beta Sigma’s University of Pennsylvania Chapter held a forum and panel discussion on this topic.  I ask all African American’s to "Speak Up!”  "What Do Black People Want?”
