Our Own Voices Live discusses: Alleged Afghan Killing for sport by American Forces; who is really to blame? Is this a sign of things to come? Our Military hasn’t never had sustained deployments for as many tours of duty in a combat zone in our history. A recent Rand report stated that 20 percent of our soldiers are suffering from Post Traumatic Stress Disorder(PTSD). This is compounded by the relatively new diagnosed condition of Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI) Is this an example of what happens to a military when they are stretched too thin for too long? Are these men and women receiving the treatment that they need and what happens once the war is over and we do the inevitable drawn down? DO we have enough doctors now for those that are active, no longer in service and what impact will they have on society without the uniform. We are going to begin the discussion and will continue it until we get some answers and America’s war fighters get the treatment that they deserve. Call in and live and ‘Speak Up!’
